Thank you for being part of SATVA 2026
Symposium on Advanced Technologies and Visionary Approaches for Sustainability
Pavement Sustainability Frontiers: From Materials to Maintenance
The fourth edition of the Symposium on Advanced Technologies and Visionary Approaches for Sustainability (SATVA 2026), organized by the Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Engineering Centre (ESSENCE) at IIT Palakkad in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI Palakkad Chapter) and Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS Palakkad Chapter), was successfully held from 04 to 06 June 2026 at IIT Palakkad.
The symposium aimed to facilitate technical exchange and dialogue across diverse domains of engineering with a focus on sustainability. The event featured expert lectures, research paper presentations, and panel discussions addressing contemporary challenges and innovations in sustainable technologies, particularly emphasizing approaches in road infrastructure and recent advancements in this critical sector.
Pavement Sustainability Frontiers: From Materials to Maintenance provided a collaborative platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and showcase advances shaping the future of sustainable pavement infrastructure. The symposium was built around four core themes, reflecting the growing need for innovation across the pavement lifecycle.
An official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad and the Indian Road Survey & Management (IRSM) Pvt Ltd was a key highlight of the SATVA 2026 inaugural function.
Representing the shared vision for sustainable engineering, the agreement was officially exchanged by Shri G Parasuraman, Managing Director, IRSM and Dr. Arvind Ajoy, Dean (Industry Collaboration & Sponsored Research), IIT Palakkad. This strategic partnership aims to foster collaborative research, facilitate vital knowledge exchange, and drive innovative advancements in pavement infrastructure and road condition assessment methodologies.
Formalizing collaborative research and technological advancement in pavement infrastructure management.
